My Artistic Process
The blank, white paper is a space to compose my emotions, layering mystery and energy through strokes of color as I weave ideas and thoughts into a visual piece. These layers are organized in three stages that gradually bring what's in my imagination onto the paper.
My painting process starts with big strokes that fill up the paper quickly and create forms through color to compose my scattered thoughts. I start with soft colors, then gradually move to more intense hues. Then I let it all settle down and move to the second stage, where I give meaning to my first play of colors. It is a meditative process to construct, build, and give definition to every form, whether it is a flower, landscape, or an abstract. The third and final stage is very critical. It is when I polish and refine my initial strokes.
The intention of my art is to connect the viewer with my movement of energy.
